Happy First Day of Spring!
Spring has come in like a lion – as in it has taken us all by surprise at the roaring hot temperatures we are experiencing that don’t usually hit us until mid-June! The last few years we seem to have skipped spring weather, staying cold and snowy until mid-May, then a couple days of rain, and suddenly, BLAM-O, summer! So this is super strange to say the least. I’m not holding my breath just yet as we could potentially get another snowstorm – maybe.
Here are my Top Ten Favourite Things About Spring!

1. Buds pushing their way through the tips of branches
2. The smell of fresh air wafting in through the back door and the sound of birds singing.
3. Not having to bundle up in winter jackets to go outdoors – long sleeves and running shoes it is!
4. Unleashing the kids into the backyard to play EVERY.SINGLE.DAY.
5. Embracing the mud and laundry that goes along with it – because they’re having so much fun!
6. Birthday parties and Easter!
7. Spring break and venturing out to the zoo with friends.
8. Walks to the main street for Starbucks.
9. All 3 kids able to ride their bikes to the park – most of the way.
10. Painting toe nails and changing over the wardrobes.
