The buzz around our house these past few weeks has been all about a new reality show that’s coming early Dec. 2012.

I’ve dubbed it Tim & Laur Plus 4!!!!

That’s right, I’m expecting! Big surprise, ha ha :0) We’ve had people asking us for MONTHS, “So, when are you going to have the next one?”. And my response was always “After the ski season is over.” LOL

So yeah, we’re all SUPER excited! This is the largest gap we’ve had between kids – Keekers will be nearly 4 when this one is born! It will also make for two cousins just a few months apart, as my sister-in-law is due the end of August – and this one will be grandchild #9 for my hubby’s parents and 4 for my parents.

I’m about 10 weeks along now, we get to confirm some dates with the midwife next week – I always look so forward to that first appointment and hearing baby’s heart beat!

Children really are a gift, and while the all-day sickness has brought me to some all time lows, it has really helped to recall that each child is a blessing, and the end result is ALWAYS worthwhile – it’s a good reason to be feeling sick! God is growing a new little one inside of me.

In Isaiah 28:9-10 it says:

“To whom will he teach knowledge, and to whom will he explain the message? Those who are weaned from the milk, those taken from the breast? It is precept upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little, there a little.”

We should be teaching our children from the time they are little babes, and we know they are first able to understand. What do we teach them? The fear of the Lord, which is the beginning of knowledge – his truth, his wisdom, his love.

I am so blessed and thankful to be given another opportunity to raise a little one in the name of Christ and pray daily that we are able to teach our children diligently.

One way that we have really loved to learn scripture is through Seeds Family Worship, and their newest album, Seeds of Character, has me just completely in love again. Deuteronomy 6:4-9 is on there, which we’re memorizing together, and tons of other great passages of scripture.
