At dinner one night, when testing to see what she learned, we asked Keeker what sound “cat” starts with. She said “B”. Stinker! So when we asked “What sound does cucumber start with?” she said “Q!”, all proud of herself. Well, at least phonetically she’s correct :D
We focused mainly on caterpillar and cat for the week, using printables (see above) and our fantastic All About Reading Level Pre-1 lesson. She is really getting the hang of words that rhyme and LOVES all the games we can do!
We made a caterpillar from our blocks (following patterns), did a caterpillar puzzle and made an egg carton caterpillar.
While working on one of her pages, she wanted to paint her own name. No help from mommy, she did a pretty good job for the first time!
