A couple of months ago, our small group put on a bridal shower for one of the couples in our group. Chris and Kitty are one claaaaaaaassy couple, so I knew I wanted to do a classy theme. The wheels started turning as soon as I found out that Kitty’s ring had been purchased from Tiffany’s! Of course, what better theme than a classic, Audrey Hepburn, “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” theme!
I have never actually SEEN “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”, and while I may get yelled at here for saying it, I’ve not heard fantastic things about it – as in the story line is pretty terrible, acting is mediocre, the only good thing about it is Audrey’s outfits, etc. Maybe one day I will actually watch it, but for now, I just thought it a good idea for the style and idea.

The shower was held at our church – there were 30-40 people invited and there was no way our house could hold them!
This meant a bit of extra work bringing things over (it’s just down the street from our house!), but I didn’t have to clean my house in preparation, so it evened out :D
The dessert table held some delicious goodies, as well as a small candy bar.
I tried out a few new recipes for cupcakes I’d had in mind for a little while (the wrappers from Micahels were perfect for the black, white and aqua theme!). Mexican Hot Chocolate Cupcakes
Lots of great breakfast-type foods, as well as the usual finger foods. I had a lot of help with the food, thank you ladies! I couldn’t have done it without you!

Idea for the fruit rainbow from pinterest :D
The bride and groom registered at Crate and Barrel. I have never set foot in that store until this shower! While my hubby insists they call it what they do because (for their prices) they either have you over a crate or barrel…I did find some good deals and liked what I saw there. I even got the tray for the fruit rainbow from there!
Too perfect that their colours are black and white, with aqua tissue paper!
For the favours, I attempted cupcake pops – except the ended up more like cupcake high hats. Well, it was a good attempt, but one I will need to perfect if I am going to do this again :D
The bride came dressed the part for Audrey Hepburn. I picked up a few extra accessories to help out with the traditional “bow hat” photograph.
Thanks for checking out the Breakfast at Tiffany’s bridal shower!
